A single point of failure taking out multiple units!? Have they learned nothing from the Kusile chimney disaster??
lol, I meant the corrupt ministers and whoever has their hand in pulling the strings. To take their power and their houses.What did the solar users do?
Ever thought of getting a backup?this stage 6 has significantly messed up my work schedule. I've had to work most of the weekend to keep up with specs, including random night time hours of going to bed and waking up at 2am to continue because 4 hours is not enough time to make a significant dent. I've just finished working now and 10pm is another f*ing 2 hour slot.
Tomorrow again, just to keep up with the demand need to work night, but because of night time loadshedding times, I still have to go until early hours of the morning. (It's my choice but need to make some money, something ANC doesn't seem to grasp for the SA working people)
Holy muther and knowing this is being done intentionally makes me want to burn the ppl responsible godamn houses with their solar panels down. Raaaaage.
hahaha, why yes indeed I did.Ever thought of getting a backup?
But redundancy costs money, and we'd rather have money in our nasty pocketses...A single point of failure taking out multiple units!? Have they learned nothing from the Kusile chimney disaster??
Ramamargarine says 'nein'Stage 3 and 4 from tomorrow.
@Lupus Lower stages from Esp?
If you are working remotely your only choice is basically to get a backup.this stage 6 has significantly messed up my work schedule. Yoh things haven't been that bad in ages, in fact has it ever dropped that low? I don't remember coal being so low the bar doesn't even feature anymore, thats what, like lower than 12GW?
StrangeI'm Eskom Direct in Cape Town and my electricity just came back on after 2 instead of 4 hours.
Yeah, probably just a mistake.Strange
Possibly, or just luckyYeah, probably just a mistake.
Apparently the whole of medupi is offline. Its like when units 1-3 at kusile died last year when the chimney got blocked and they had to build a temporary POS which took a year and bypasses all the clean air laws.If you are working remotely your only choice is basically to get a backup.

Even then I don't think coal was so low it didn't feature lolApparently the whole of medupi is offline. Its like when units 1-3 at kusile died last year when the chimney got blocked and they had to build a temporary POS which took a year and bypasses all the clean air laws.
Kusile is in an ANC stronghold. They voted for that delicious lung cancer.Apparently the whole of medupi is offline. Its like when units 1-3 at kusile died last year when the chimney got blocked and they had to build a temporary POS which took a year and bypasses all the clean air laws.
I predict that this will be the new normal for kusile in other words, they will never get the sulphur flue thingy going again. Medupi has hope as they don't have the expensive flue thingy and all they have to fix is a conveyor belt.
