It's like the ANC kinda person/supporter just cannot plan anything in real life. They all fail to see how different elements come together to either win or lose scenarios. It's like they don't know logic at all.

That's probably why they all turned to stealing. They don't have to overheat that one brain cell of theirs thinking.

When stuff was designed in rhe 1980s, there was an assumption that proper maintenance would be done. It's not possible to cater in advance for all sceanarios, including incompetence, neglect and vandalism.

Yep, I can't quite believe that when building a new plant of the scale of Medupi they decided to rely on the water treatment plant for Matimba, so now there's 10GW reliant on a plant which is apparently in urgent need of maintenance.

Dan Marokane doing his best to rally the troops, time will tell of course.

Marokane says while there are a few bad apples, the majority of Eskom staff are ethical and committed.

"Many people forget how great people are here, how many ethical people are here and that the few cannot be used to judge the majority of the employees," he said.

"I've had the privilege of working in the private sector and I tell them that you haven't met very skilled people until you go to Eskom. All that needs to be done is to take our skills and light it up to get results on the scoreboard."
