Most of us, a bit anyway :- (Besides the industry I'm in I'm already a bastard
I've been asked by the boss to stop replying to mails :-(, apparently being direct isn't taken kindly. Scary thing is I've only been doing this 8 years and I've been telling people who've been here 15 to 20 years what is happening. Most of us, a bit anyway :- (
Actually if they had literally done stage 2 and there was no damage done by striking, it probably would'veLast year we used to joke that permanent Stage 2 would help get us through necessary maintenance. How things have changed in 12 months. Another 4GW is gone, and zero maintenance is being done.
It sure looks like very little is done.Another 4GW is gone, and zero maintenance is being done.
Listen here, you.I hate to break it to you, but it's not the map that's wrong. Durban is just backward.
Eskom tried to appropriate Steenbras as well at one point. The IPP favours whomever pays them. At one point we were supposed to get help from Kelvin and we did for a brief period, but Eskom threw their toys and we stopped.
It sure looks like very little is done.

Where is here?Have to wonder why some big / international interest doesn't declare they're planning to build power stations here. Even solar in the right place would prosper, and help if big enough.
yup they do, running at reduced capacity. But reduced capacity with both of them is still 360MW. If they were full it would be 600MWMore like had, do they still exist?
SA in general, thinking the Karoo if solar else anywhere if coal. But will any company dare do coal these days?Where is here?
