Large munis are different, Eskom doesn't cut the HV feeds, the muni's are contracted to reduce and handle internal load shedding to compensate. As long as COJ is within the required reduction, how they manage the internals is their business.

I'm talking about a muni's management of the grid and Eskom incoming feed. AFAIK, Eskom does not cut the feed but Ethekwheni is contracted for certain amounts. The cuts are at the internal level.

There are portions the munci maintains and there are ones Eskom does, apparently CP doesn't do the turn off that's Eskom as it's a signal from them.

Yes, but how can CP guarantee to reduce their load then when they're boasting about these projects allowing them to drop one shitting level?

Still sub-controlled by CP though I'm sure, their equipment beyond the main stage-control point and their software.

Other projects are involved. Who knows, maybe new plans for Kelvin as well. They're not gonna announce it without some structure, even if they do end up breaking the offer again.

From the conversations with the Durban electrical guys, all the signals are handled internally, we even discussed recently plugging the local water pump stations ( which are stupidly being switched off during loadshedding ) directly to the HV circuits as a easy way to exclude them from shedding.
