I don't like this evening shedding.

It seems I almost always get the 20:00-22:00 slot. 20:00 is too early to go to sleep, but preparing for the next day is a lot more difficult without light or power, so I end up in limbo a lot of nights for those 2 hours.

I hate the 8 to 10 slot.

I also hate the 12 to 2 slot. Messes with my sleep

Should have some form of backup solution by now, we've had 4 years of almost continous shedding, well I mean month or 2 off here or there, 2020 probably was only really exempt due to covid

My UPS seems to be able to run a small standing fan for 2 hours, so I do that during the night. This year's bonus will kick-start my journey.

Yup that is what I did with my last years bonus, though it took me some time to find the suppliers, but it's so much better.

Is your UPS pure sine wave? My fan did not work well on a cheap ups.

Yes. I have a generator from years ago so when I bought a UPS I made sure it is generator compatible and oddly enough with that came pure sinewave as a bonus :)

If it's in the afternoon and extended hours, like 4-hour slots, I'll bring the generator online and run everything through my UPS to clean the generator output.

Not sure if you can still get them but I got a floor standing Goldair fan a few years back that has battery back up..Best thing I have ever bought...
