It's all about diesel at the moment, and anc must pay 'cos anc caused all of this. End of story
(Yes, I know it's our money they're spending....)

There are much worse ways that the ANC spends our money - honestly, I say give Eskom almost an unlimited diesel budget for the next while agreeing to performance targets to increase the baseload EAF. People who are currently against using more diesel are effectively willing to subject everyone else to higher levels of load-shedding...

100%. Save the economy is the bottom line.

But, as @Benedict A55h0le will agree, there's a socialist agenda... and those who doubt it should take a closer look at the amazingly generous loans the anc have been getting to greenerise our country - same associates that are involved with socialist ideals.

The agenda of the loan and the ANC is not the same. The loan is given not for socialism, but they think the ANC will help people to benefit from solar. That is all, it`s the green thing. The ANC`s socialism on the other hand, will ensure that the people do not see a single cent or benefit from the loan. Some of this loan will go to grant handouts, but most of it will be channeled into the cadres off-shore accounts. The woke dumbasses that gave the loan as a virtue signal and does not care about anything else.

Would you be willing to take some pain this year if it means the end of the ANC?

Why allow them to buy some time to win next years elections after which we're back to where we are...

Hmm...that's a tough choice and there's no guarantee next year's elections mean the end of the ANC, of course. I will think about it.

No, it's also an "incentive" - anc & co. are trying to decay the capitalist economy.

I guess you're more interested in this CT "solar tax" though.
I am just not convinced that the green loan is part of a larger socialist plan. It is a virtue signal, and the money will be stolen. The time for fossil fuels is over. The oil machine is not the future what people want, and it is not the future you want for your children.

Why are you bothered by that? We haven't gone above stage 6, despite people saying "Stage 8 is imminent" being shouted for many years now.
and for many years they've been saying that 20GW of coal needs to be decommissioned by 2030. On the plus side, 18GW is already "decommissioned".

So when we only have Kusile and Medupi left what do you think is going to happen?

I wonder what the difference between late December and now is with industry. Would think much more than 5 GW.
December is around 25GW though this year it was higher by the looks of it, seems a few places didn't close.

From 2018? Pretty sure is has had lots of time to happen but didn't happen yet.

We will see it this year for sure.

If they use diesel to lower loadshedding, they will run out of it in a week. Then it's back to square one again.
