We generally have +2h on what everyone else has. Excluding "breakdowns", a daily occurrence here. Over any average week we have 10-12h ANC powah per day.

No only prayer power that it won't take over 6 hrs. We've been caught twice. Once was at the very end when load shedding kicked in and another time City Power turned us off for 5 seconds but it was early into the update. Neither caused any problems but the day will come. Thing is we don't know what to invest in. We have a 1kva inverter that would allow us to finish any long installations. But any ups we've looked into has gotten bad reviews. All we want is something that will keep the pc going till we get the inverter going.

Wish they would leave Windows 10 alone, or at least bring back the old Windows 7 way of doing things.

We're using RCT UPSes, never had anything bad with them.

Granted, had to replace the batteries a couple of times, but ours is now more than 6 years old and still going on strong.

I'm going to order new UPSes on next year's budget as an inverter/UPS will only last that long, and I don't want to take any chances.

As for Win10/Win7, I agree. Win7 and WinNTSP4 was the best.

Micros~1.sht changing too many things and bloating things at the same time.

The only thing that I moan about these RCT UPSes is the monitoring software. Rubbish.

I have one machine still running windows 7 for some legacy software. No annoying updates.))
 
It's wild that we are back to stage 4 and my first throught is "thank God we only have 2 hour slots 3 times a day". Install needs to haaapppeeeennnnn.... Freeeeeee meeeee....
 
It’s madness that we’ve normally power outages and are rhapsody when that stages are little lower.

Blegh looks like its generation issues

Eskom added that four open-cycle gas turbines at its Ankerlig peak power station were out of service until 15 March 2023.
