I use a Raspberry Pi as a Kodi bingewatching box, and my media live on four 2.5" external USB harddisks. This is more than the RPi can power so I used a powered USB 3.0 hub. After about five years of continuous service his hub has now suddenly failed. So I need to replace it, but all I see in the online stores from various suppliers is unpowered USB hubs. None of these things seem to come with power adaptors anymore.
Who can recommend a good quality powered USB 3.0 hub that can power at least 4 conventional (i.e. not SDD) 2.5" USB harddisks and has a power supply to deliver sufficient oomph for these devices? Alternatively, a combo of a separate hub and power adaptor (USB-C perhaps) would do nicely as well, as long as the combo can power the harddisks.
Any advice would be appreciated!
