Ive got a 384k line with 3gb from TelkomInternet, what would the price difference be if i upgraded to 4mb and kept the same amount of bandwidth?
And secondly, how much do I get charged too downgrade?
THANKS!

Fast DSL - only R152.00 p/m
(based on 384kbps technology)

Faster DSL - only R326.00 p/m
(based on 512kbps technology)

Fastest DSL - only R413.00 p/m
(based on 4096kbps technology)

So that's an extra R261 then.
IIRC there is cost involve downgrading, not sure how much.

If you have problems syncing at 4mb, they downgrade you lower for free.

thanks kiepie, please send me a link for that info.

Downgrading is charged for at R400 if i remember correct.

Funny how upgrading is free but downgrading gets charged for, it's the same process.

There seems to be no limit to their greed profiteering strategies.

Looks like an installation is R490, not sure if they'll charge the same on a downgrade. Greedy buggers!

well im worried i get it, then regret it, any reason too regret it? except for those poor peeps
getting 512k speeds?

who are the best people to speak too about this? who can tell me exactly whats happening.
sales consultant at the telkom shop?

i what to know if its available, will i get the full speed, and pricing ofcourse!

im amazed how big the difference is from 384 to 512

small in terms of speed high in terms of cost

downgrading your 4 meg line to like 1 or 2 is free

I downgraded from 4Mb to 384Kb last week as I was not getting speeds resembling anything close to that any more.

They charge R330 VAT inclusive for this downgrade.
