A 1c increase on top of what we're already paying should put people into fits of rage.

AFAIK exorbitant telecommunications costs are the main reason why this site was founded.

That might be the case, but no amount of people bitching and complaining or canceling their contracts is going to change it.

I never said I can't afford it. I just reserve the right to complain about price increases. You're the one who came in her and crapped on us for complaining about a price increase and asking for justification. so put your money where your mouth is and pay for my increase... or shut up.

what exactly is wrong with bitching and complaining? last time I checked we still had the right to do that. So you want to take away our Freedom of Speech AND make us pay through our noses for bandwidth as well?

Firstly i am not making you pay anything the telecoms companies are doing that, and secondly you are paying for the increase of the line rental not the ADSL or bandwidth.
 
Let break down this R40 increase.

1 cappuccino is R16(tall Seattle), drink 2 less and it'll cover it.
1 km driven amounts to around R1.5, so drive 26km less
1 wollies chicken is about R40, substitute one chicken meal for a tin a bullybeef(yuck)
1 sms is around a R1, that 40 less for the month

I hope my guide to being able to affort the new Telsleez tariff helps

We don't like Telkom's prices... and we use this forum to voice that fact. If you like paying Telkom's prices... hoooray for you! But plz don't come in here and start giving us s**t because we don't like it. You are not likely to make many friends around here doing that.

Ha, so i must follow everyone else because its the 'cool thing'. I never said i liked there prices, but honestly do you REALLY think moaning about it is going todo anything to them. That helkom site has done nothing. If you think that moaning the entire day about it is going to stop there financial directors from stopping the price hike go ahead. But it wont, so its like crying over stilt milk.

But I do agree with semaphore a bit here, most South Africans bitch and moan without trying to do something about it, but that pertains more to crime etc. not quite sure what can be done about Telkom...
 
my point is, it feels nice to complain. But it wont help except make you feel better. But in the end you are still going to pay the extra R40.
