How many mm from the base of the can did you put your hole?
If you get this wrong.... that will be the reason.
77mm seems to work best.... though some say 73.

ps - I’ve even stuck tin foil all the way around my Pringles
can....it does not make an iota of difference…. But sure stopped
the next door neighbours from asking why I have a Pringles can
stuck to the window [:I]

But if i remember right you had very good signal anyway ?

Its really for people that have little signal. like 5% and want to get it to 12 %

With Pringles - 46% to 47%
Without Pringles - 25% to 30%
But above 30% my packet loss almost disappears.

ps - My signal is better at night than during the day too.

oh and i found that hot & spicy works the best... :)

Why do you have to "put your two cents in"... but it's only a "penny for your thoughts"? Where's that extra penny going to?

Just used a Pringles Can as per instructions. Have increased signal from 19% to 31%!!

And by the way, an Original Flavoured Can was used!! [:p]

Yesterday whilst the BOP tower was down, I used the opportunity to test a Pringles can vs a Tennis ball can.
The results were interesting, as until then, I had always received a strong signal (46%) and there was no difference between these two cans.
With a weak signal, the Tennis ball can produced far better results.
I was able to receive a 3 to 2 LED signal with this can as follows:
1. Bluff Tower, some 8 km’s away,
2. Saratoga, some 12 km’s away
With the Pringles can… it could not detect them at all. Only the Mal Park signal some 5 km’s away.
Both can’s are the same diameter and the Tennis ball can had been cut to the same length as the Pringles.

I have always used a tennis ball can, because it is more directional and solid.

Problem is that they are hard to come by as most
tennis ball manufacturers's now use plastic containers.
