Problems with Bandwidth Usage Report emails: zilchlicates, duplicates, triplicates...

Still not a single email, what gives WBS?

[apart from my bank account giving WBS money all the time]

Well I still have not received a single email from WBSMobile.co.za or any other flavour of WBS email address, so still nada/zilch/zero bandwidth usage reports...:mad:

What amazes me is that the 2nd one often arrives 12 - 15 hours after the 1st although it's apparently been sent within 5 minutes of the 1st one, and specifically that the delay happens on mailspool.ops.uunet.co.za. Today I've received 3, one from yesterday (the 2nd one) at about 01:00.

I am still getting triplicates, although the frequency of such mail has decreased to once a day

I seem to be back to one report today.

Besides that the connection has been crawling since lastnight.

I finally received an email this evening, however the usage is off by about 300MB from what it should be...:mad:

Correction that was the latest one, there was another earlier [identical content, different time] one as well [i.e. I finally have moved from zilchlicates to duplicates...]

don't know if it was coincidence, but my bandwidth report only came through once I logged onto wbs & looked at the bandwidth meter...

I had no choice but to login via helpdesk.wbs.co.za, and it still didn't send me usage report emails, however I did get 2 last night for the first time since 2005-05-25...I wonder if I will get 0||2||3 today...

Seems I spoke too soon about one for yesterday as I just recieved one more for yesterday a few min ago.

Also recieved two for today one at 13:12 and the second about 1hr later, but they both had the same time stamp.

Only thing I can think of is that they know not what they are doing. :rolleyes:

I am normally connected 24/7 but I tried disconnecting to see if it would help but it did not make any difference.

Just recieved the third report for today. :eek:

Make that four for today and counting.....

It aint accurate you 100 % right, I downloaded one day 300 meg and it just showed i downloaded 40 meg

I've now been changed from duplicate reports to zilchlicate reports :( Last two were on Monday (20th)

I decided to proactively solve this and other problems I experience with WBS' implementation of iBurst, by reapplying for Telkomonopoly's ADSL & waiting all over again...

Probably a good time to get rid of the modem (if purchased) while they still exist :)
Hope MTN comes up with something reasonable soon, want to stay away from Hellkomonopoly or direct associates

Exact same here - nothing after I was capped [actually dumb not to send and email saying you are capped & that's why your speed is cr@p - would save a few calls to the Helpdesk...] then 1 from noreply...

Kei, the exact same thing happened with my bandwidth reports and email...

Besides that all seems to still be working fine since i got capped on Monday.

All the problems I see in the forum does not seem to be affecting CT, well at least not my connection so far.

[/post]I also haven't been getting Bandwidth Usage Reports, last one I received was on 2005-06-28, the fact is that WBS is simply incompetent & that is reason enough to cancel [if you can switch to carrier pigeons] - I have cancelled - my carrier pigeons will be known as HomeDSL192 from August...

Best bet would be cancel those usage reports, I don't bother in getting them anyways there is no Detail. Like the IP that was used the amount and stuff like that. I received about 10 of those e-mails per day. then 3 then 2 then 1
