When last did you do a roll-out of a few thousand desktops, or a thousand routers or a new app across those desktops and it all went in on day-one and ran without a hiccup from day-one?
I also think that what V3G tried was attempting to show you was by supplying you with an analogy on your level in your kind of technical language, to get inside your head and draw you a picture so to speak, to make you better understand.

I don't think the desktops and routers in the analogy relates to each other at all or that he was trying to compare it to anything specific on the VC network.

technology map...

no one said it was intended as technical whitepaper...

now can we move on and get a picture of the technical topography going? or is that considered "IP", and therefore a closed subject?

The anology is obvious - and I guess the anology continues into the reality of techies running around to try and fix the unfixable. :(

But I still had problems connecting via GPRS last night. Got better after 22:00

Same here...I've been having GPRS problems since 20/21 July and it also seems to get better round about after 22:00.

My GPRS would show that I’m connected (Big [G] on phone screen), but then suddenly all data communication would just cease to exist, no incoming GPRS data, no outgoing GPRS data! I'm 'connected' but websites are just *loading...* for ever...

Yes vodacom3g, the connection seems to be getting better and better with each day after D-Day (20 July for me). I’m now able to stay online longer before my GPRS data throughput *freezes*.

Yeah I also find the gprs connection on my phone is very stable and seems faster than before. v3g thank you if you did something to sort it out. MXit login times at night are very fast and generally I'm now a happy camper.:)
