Prostate test

Last year I was peeing blood, had to go to hospital for the procedure to check it in Feb ( forgot the name )

I had tumors and growths on the tubes in testicles causing me infections and also causing my prostate to swell and bleed, had to have the tumors removed.

Still not 100% but getting there, the Uromax Co helps a lot, also a lot less fluid drinking from 4pm onwards etc etc.

Yeah I know it doesn't mean cancer but I just do what the wife and GP tell me to do, full bloods and PSA everyone January.
yeah both the wife and I do our respective checks and support each other, I think it mut be harder for folks going through it single and easier to fall by the wayside.

Someone mentioned coffee earlier and you mentioned blood, also had a kidney stone years ago, apparently from my excessive coffee intake but you can increase your water intake to compensate as well. Of course that makes your bladder work overtime so tie that in with prostate issues and its not something I'd wish on anyone.

Stress, caffeine and fizzy drinks.

I take a lot of water in the morning, add some lemon juice as well.

Also your body weight and the way you sleep affects the bladder and prostate.

I lie on my left side and helps with the frequent urge to pee.

I'm confused, you guy are going for the full treatment vs the blood draw? On a serious note, what criteria merits that?
As my example above, PSA kept going up over a number of years.

I use Uromax Co, I don't pee like a race horse every night.

Mine is also enlarged, unfortunately it is what it is, spoke to the doctors and they said it happens to most Males the older they get, doesn't mean prostate cancer but it could be the start.

Prostate Cancer takes years to develop, just got to keep the tests going every year.
Prostate cancer is very treatable if caught early, it’s one of the less serious cancers if treatment starts early.

I have to have tests done at least twice a year.

Mother had cancer in 2016 ( terminal ) died within 3 months of diagnosis.

Older brother- 2019 Lymphatic cancer, Covid and then a stroke in 2022 ( still alive after all that )

But yup, better you know then you leave it and it gets worse.

So the pills must be having an effect and I can urinate for longer. But seriously, what is this ****, I can't stand around all day. Why can't I just stop at 80% done and get on with my day?

1. Is the PSA blood test not sufficient for this? Because i'm not having anyone stick anything anywhere and..
2. Is a scan such as Xray, MRI etc not sufficient for this? Because i'm not having anyone stick anything anywhere...

Yes it is but I think it must be relatively new. Just a few years ago it was standard to get fingered but now its not.

For a colonoscopy ? no.

I just had mine the other day and I'll be glad to not do that for another 5-10 years.
