This might be a good thing. The only people that seem to make reasonable local content are the afrikaans dudes. Programs like Lat Wiel, Groen etc come to mind.

Why would they cut R500m of local content, if the advertising revenues made it profitable? Obviously, local content isn't making money. The quality is so poor (from what I've forced myself to watch) that I will not miss it. I just feel for local actors who might be out of work in future. That said, if they are any good, they will find work.
