PS4 or XBox One?

both on pc.

The Last Of Us is a Playstation exclusive. And you're still waiting for GTA V more than a year after it was released, heck even the next gen systems will be getting it first...

Bloodborne is also a Playstation exclusive

Half of the Xbone's media gimmicks are US only unfortunately

Westmore, what sort of game genres are you interested in?

Xbone would probably take the lead on this with Halo: The Master Chief Collection & Halo 5

Both consoles will have the big RPG titles everyone is waiting for ~ Dragon Age, Witcher 3

In this instance, check

Upcoming Xbox One titles

Upcoming PS4 titles

In the end it's your choice, both systems have their pros and cons

So very true, I am thinking PS4.

Anyone know if the PS4 is locked for regions? I am going to the UK soon and could bring back.

Edited: Just found that they are under same region

Seen a better one?

Major difference in terms of computational power between XBone and PS4, in the PS4's favor. The June edition of the MIT tech review did a system parity test, (you can get the pdf of the magazine on the pirate bay), with the XB1 lagging way behind the PS4. Which is the main reason Microsoft bumped the GPU and CPU speeds, and shuttled the Kinect.

In terms of media features and the like, remember its all software, so there is nothing prohibiting Sony from adding the same features later on. They have already confirmed that DLNA support will be added in an update.

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but is anyone taking Sony's financial health into consideration?

Or is it not worth worrying about for the lifespan of the current console?

I doubt either MS or Sony will go bankrupt any time soon...

Even with their latest report forecasting a $1.3bn loss, I don't think it will affect their Playstation division too seriously. What we might see are less exclusives, because Sony won't have the financial heft to secure them, however, it would be extremely unlikely that their financial troubles would result in a shorter lifespan for the PS4. Right now the PS division is their most profitable. The main culprit for Sony's loss is their PC and Smartphone divisions. There are rumors that Sony's going to sell off it mid-range Smartphone patents and focus on high-end models to reduce overhead. They might also do what they did with their Display division and sell it off to 3rd party manufactures; bringing in a back-end revenue stream with no liability.
