PS4 vs Xbox One

Based on all the Digital Foundry frame rate analysis videos I've seen the PS4 performs better than the XB1. Not only that but in many games the PS4 is doing 1080p vs 900p on the XB1. Compared to a budget PC they both suck though.

Seems both camps are talking about new versions with hardware upgrades. Just tumors though but it would be a first that consoles are updated.

Makes you wonder though. Now that consoles are on x86 architecture, it's actually a viable thing to do, assuming they tay with x86 going forward(which is likely).

Would fix the backwards compatibility issues of consoles as well.

Only barrier would be consumers that expect consoles to be just plug and play.

I wouldn't mind the consoles being modular so you can upgrade. It's the next logical step.
