Hmm. Did you get your PS5 on release day here in SA? Both my controllers from then have had issues now, so that's not really impressing me....

I did, and I already replaced the original two controllers, just over a year ago ... new ones are now shot to **** as wellHmm. Did you get your PS5 on release day here in SA? Both my controllers from then have had issues now, so that's not really impressing me....

Yeah, but these were replaced by Partserve under warranty, and replaced with what was available at that timeThat's bad mojo. Did you research that the newer colours are actually slightly changed/updated? That's why I got a blue one when I replaced my first controller. Can't recall which of the other colours are the same.
Interesting. Surely they have applied this to all newly produced controllers? That's bad mojo. Did you research that the newer colours are actually slightly changed/updated? That's why I got a blue one when I replaced my first controller. Can't recall which of the other colours are the same.

My replacements were still from the original batch made I would assume ... same model number as my original launch day setInteresting. Surely they have applied this to all newly produced controllers?
Coloured and the newer white onesI would have thought so as well, but the articles I read indicated it was newer coloured models that had the change. Don't know if it's still the same.

Nice, both A
Coloured and the newer white ones
Do you all leave your PS5 plugged in? With load shedding at the moment Im pretty sure my PS5 turns on as soon as the power comes back on and Im worried about damaging it.
I feel your pain.Always plugged in yeah. Have no need for rest mode. Its not like the PS5 can resume like an Xbox does anyway so why leave it in rest mode? Well, unless your downloading overnight or something of course. Had a number of power failures since launch. That's just the joy of living on the coast. PS5 checked storage every time.
And I've had four controllers since launch. Two launch whites were both drifting and one's spring snapped while I was playing Cyberpunk . Swapped it out with PartServe and from that exchange one drifted almost immediately again. Threw it away. The other white is still ok but hardly ever used as I bought two new reds. They are fine.
I won't touch a white ever again due to the chance of it being old version stock.
Yeah in rest mode (orange light) Im sure I heard a beep the one night when the power came back on.Are you keeping it in rest mode? Weird that it comes on...
I switch mine off but keep it plugged in, everything is plugged into a surge protector multiplug. Not sure if it helps but it still works fine after nearly 2 years of LS.
Turn off HDMI CEC in the settings. It is turning on because the Tv is turning on due to HDMI CEC being enabled on the TV.Do you all leave your PS5 plugged in? With load shedding at the moment Im pretty sure my PS5 turns on as soon as the power comes back on and Im worried about damaging it.
