PS5

Ha you think its only gonna be 17K...

Expect a minimum of R20K plus, that said, I do think I will wait for a sale as I dont have a rush, just an itch.

Koodoo prices are averaging a rough R28.2/USD on the $499 PS5 slim and $549 PSVR2 when neither are on special.

Expecting a $599 launch price for the Pro which works out to around R16999 if they don’t add extra markup or the rand takes a dive.

Rumour: Sony to Host Big PlayStation Event Next Month

Sony likes to put on major State of Play livestreams and host its PlayStation Showcase during the month of May, and it appears the company is gearing up to do so once again in 2024. Giant Bomb journalist Jeff Grubb reports he's heard "a bunch of times" from sources that Sony is planning an event for May, and it sounds more like another big PlayStation Showcase rather than a more subdued State of Play.

Grubb's comments were made when discussing the ESRB age rating given to the Silent Hill 2 remake, which he reckons could be a part of the show. The remake from Bloober Team is still slated for a 2024 release, and Grubb guesses it shall feature in the event: "I have heard that there will be a PlayStation something, either a State of Play or a Showcase, next month, in May, so this is probably going to be there."

He continues on the Giant Bombcast: "I’ve heard both a Showcase and maybe State of Play. It seems like it might lean towards Showcase, it’s definitely in that timeframe of when they did the Showcase last year."

Sony hasn't hosted a PlayStation Showcase since the 2023 edition — which also fell into the presumed May slot — where the hardware manufacturer received criticism for focusing on its slate of live-service titles rather than new single player games. Fairgame$, Concord, and Marathon were all revealed during the livestream. Given the company has now taken somewhat of a step back from its Games as a Service push, fans will likely hope to see new offline experiences like a Ghost of Tsushima sequel announced.

Could we possibly see a Ghost of Tsushima 2 announcement?

Replacing my old one, I decided to go for black this time round. Picking it up today - it was quite a challenge to play with the normal Dualsense this week

What makes this one the bees knees if I may enquire?
Ok this is from personal use for the last 5 months:

1. Hall effect zero drift sticks: Currently playing on a deadzone setting of 16 on one of my Dualsense controllers. Nacon was set to 1 since day 1
2. 4 Back peddles, compared to the Dualsense Edge's 2
3. Half stop triggers, faster response for FPS
4. The grips are significantly thicker that the Dualsense ... I prefer it as the rubber covers provides better grip
5. The non-symmetrical stick placements feel more natural to me
6. Programmable modes, which I like for the FPS games and testing different ingame settings with paired controller settings
7. You can reduced the travel on the sticks by using enlarger rings, short travel I prefer for FPS

So those are my personal choice reasons :)

If it wasn't for the R4K price tag I would buy it for the stick Offsets alone.

Just bought 2 x 8Bitdo Ultimates cause of that reason.
Programming and Hall effect was just a bonus. <-- (Pity its for Switch only )

I'm preordering the Deluxe edition. It's a good game. I just hope it won't be too difficult in some boss battles. You really don't pay attention to the girl after playing for a few minutes.

The game is certainly not as lewd as the Onechanbara games eg Onechanbara Origin. Basically anything made by D3 is lewd, some stuff is even unreleased in Western markets.

Played a bit of the demo, game looks and plays well but not really my jam. Was playing on story mode and I could tell normally difficulty would be way too hard for me.

I played the demo on normal mode and it was really good but the thing that really sold me was the boss challenge that you unlock after finishing the main demo.
That combined with the great music and visuals just led me to into pre-ordering the deluxe edition.

Can't wait for the full game.

I died almost immediately in that. It's a fun game the way NIeR was until you had to play as the little dude. Also the bullet hell sections sucked. This will be much better.

That was my exact reason above the Edge ... then I got all the other benefits with it :)
That being said, I am thinking of getting some Hall Effect replacement modules (from xmods) for my standard controllers, and putting them in to see

Can you by any chance graph your Nacon;s over at https://hardwaretester.com/gamepad

Xbox Series X

8Bitdo Ultimate (Hall Effect)

I have done it before, can't find the screenshots now. I will do it again and post here. I know one of the sticks (I think right) had a big offset, even showed in the reviews I watched. It would be interesting to see if the new one I got now, 6 months later (maybe new batch) still has that issue
