Public SIP server in SA?

Would like to be part of this project. Have a bit of asterisk and linux admin experience.

Been thinking of this for a while now. Would be greate to have a asterisk network all over sa then you can setup call routing to breakout through a asterisk box in the town that you are calling. Then you would be able to call any landline number in sa and pay for a local call.

Or, just get Telkom closer Plan 4/5.

Much less hassle, and calls anywhere in SA are Free (1st 1000mins) and after hours are free (1st hour).

VOIPBuster's rates to SA are cheaper (depending on exchange) than Telkom local call, so just use their sip interface, all sorted.

How about Enum base,we can peer any Itsp with over 400 worldwide for free calls. Needs to be set up with a local ITSp in S Africa.

FWIW, I've seen a website www.freevoip.co.za that's offering a free SIP server to register to.
