Pupil dies after classroom prank

Freak prank gone wrong. In boarding school the initiation is much tougher than in a public school. All we had to do (public school) was to go find a female piece of grass.

I know someone that died on the hockey field after being struck on the shin.
I know of someone that died on the hockey field from the flu.

I'm not sure I want to be someone you know :erm:

I remember a kid ripping open his nut sack while we were playing "Running Red Rovers." He tried to run around the line of defenders and caught his pecker on a small copper tap nut sack height. he was wearing no underwear and the one ball was actually hanging out of his pants

Strange shyte happen at school. That is just how it is. Put couple of 100 kids together and something is bound to happen.
Faaark... :0
What was that game where you kick the tennis ball between the other players legs then beat the shyt out of them until they touch den ? We had the whole grade playing so you better be close to den :p
They call it shibobo now. We were playing this with a hackey sack all the way into 3rd year varsity.
We also played King Stingers in primary school - that was a terrifying game!

Got that. Just weird. In my time it was like everyone was just waiting to catch someone with something. It was a constant thing each and every day you would be prepared for anything. People would punch the back of your knee, knee you on your thigh, trip you while walking in line or bump you into the urinal and so on. To mention but a few. Us kids were prepared for anything :D
Agreed. For nearly 6 months of Std6 guys walked around shielding their nuts because egg-flapping was all the rage.
"Ribs exposed" was the best - wait for a guy to have his arms in any position except down at his sides and you punched him in the ribs and shouted "ribs exposed".

Fact is, there were plenty of these 'games' where the potential risk of really hurting someone existed. That's life. I don't even think you can call it malicious. Maybe unthinking, but not malicious.

This thread and what we did as kids remind me of Bernie Mac he had this stand up routing about beating up other folks kids. I'll try find it tonight on youtube. No access from work. Was funny as hell.

Was about 16. A whole bunch of us got together watching movies, smoking etc.

I found an aerosol CS gas canister in the kitchen cupboard while looking for a drink.

Snuck outside. All the house windows were closed. Went to the aircon inlet unit and sprayed for about 30 seconds.

The anarchy that ensued inside shortly after was a moment I'll never forget.

You tear gassed 'em?

That's pretty crazy by anyone's standards

You never in your whole life did something stupid that injured someone?
We did pranks and silly things all the time. 90% of the time no one got hurt. Other 10 % it was either our arses getting hurt or a few bloody noses and/or stitches. Kids will be kids.

Nah pitbull, I can't even remember a single incident where I did something that injured somebody deliberately... unless you count knifing a hijacker or shooting some thugs who tried to rob me!

Hee hee. What's pink and turns clockwise? Then give him a purple nurple.
Now that I think about it. We had a unspoken rule with any stuff we did -guys only, and no younger grades.
Pulling a chair out on a girl would have had some buddies give you a long chat under the stands.
Kids these days...

Me neither,, but guess some people are just aholes (not that they will admit to such, they will have excuses like kids will be kids). I did stupid things that were dangerous to MY life and could have hurt ME, not other people, when I was a kid.

LOL!

It's like telling a guy "if your hand is bigger than your face, it's a sign of intelligence" and when he puts his hand over his face you give it a good slap into his nose.

You're right with pranking girls though. The most we ever did was ask them if their forearms were the same length on each arm (put your forearms together to compare to see the outcome). Or telling them that if one's elbows can touch behind one's back, it's a sign of intelligence...

I don't know if it has been updated, but I read in Die Burger this morning, that it was not a prank.

The two girls where arguing, the deceased said that she did not want to argue any further and went to go sit down. The other girl then pulled the chair from under her and you know what happened next.

Apparently the girl who pulled the chair and her family have fled.

Anyone have any updates to confirm this?

The two schools I went to didn't take lightly
to chair pulling. I n the previous years a learner was paralysed because of it.

It seems like I am the only one here who did not pull pranks on other children? In my time a prankster caught 12 of the best across the bottom with a cane dipped in salt water, then made to speak to the entire school at assembly and admit his/her misdeameanour.

Nor have I. I was the quiet kid minding my own business with a handful of friends.
