Pupil dies after classroom prank

You never in your whole life did something stupid that injured someone?
We did pranks and silly things all the time. 90% of the time no one got hurt. Other 10 % it was either our arses getting hurt or a few bloody noses and/or stitches. Kids will be kids.

I didn't. I've never felt the need to do anything so retarded.

Honestly could never see the appeal.

It seems like I am the only one here who did not pull pranks on other children? In my time a prankster caught 12 of the best across the bottom with a cane dipped in salt water, then made to speak to the entire school at assembly and admit his/her misdeameanour.

Jesus...did you go to gladiator school in ancient Rome?

What was that game where you kick the tennis ball between the other players legs then beat the shyt out of them until they touch den ? We had the whole grade playing so you better be close to den :p

Red Rover is dangerous!

We were playing it in grade 6. The other side asked X to come over. X went running full speed but she didn't manage to break the grip of the girls in front of her and got clotheslined. She flew forwards, did a reverse 180 in mid-air and landed on her head. I'm surprised she didn't break her neck. I'll never forget the fear on everyone's faces that day.

When it turned out that she was fine then it became very funny and we teased her about it for the rest of the year :D

We used to play a SA version back in the day. The line would not be holding hands but would need to tackle the runner trying to break through the line to get to the other side.

Where the hell did you go to school? Tyler Durden Primary?

Heh. King! the goal was not to get hit, and more importantly - hit someone from the other team as hard as possible with the ball.
The only rule - no aiming for the head.
And if you were really up for it - you'd play with a water-filled tennis ball.
I got hit so hard between the shoulder blades once that I couldn't breathe.

Ah. Memories.

I remember a kid ripping open his nut sack while we were playing "Running Red Rovers." He tried to run around the line of defenders and caught his pecker on a small copper tap nut sack height. he was wearing no underwear and the one ball was actually hanging out of his pants

Strange shyte happen at school. That is just how it is. Put couple of 100 kids together and something is bound to happen.

My sister broke her arm in phys ed playing red rover.
It was 90° in the wrong direction.

More in this era; my son had an incident 5 years back in junior school during phys ed.
They were learning ball skills and throwing balls to each other.
The one kid threw the ball the the kid opposite him; the kid decided he was more interested in one of the girls and took the ball to the face.
It split his forehead open and blood was gushing everywhere.
There were 9 yr old girls & boys running around screaming lol.

Last year my son went on an EP hockey tour and one of his friends broke his nose by mistake.
They were playing around and the next minute my son had a bent nose.

The point being, **** happens.

And are you guys telling me you never played skop n donner?

omg, we used to do "hoopie" if someone fell everyone around would shout HOOPIE! and you would have about 50 kids all jumping on top of each other to make a big mount. That was insane. Especially if you had the 1st team prop around the area. You would hope no one trips you or tackles you :D

Yes, PILE ON!!!!!

That was a std thing.
Getting crushed under 200 kids and almost having the life squeezed out of you.
Aaah being a kid was fun.

I remember when I was in boarding school and one of the older kids thought it was funny to sit on me while I was in the pool.
He was one big fat ass as well.
He let me up pretty much as I was about to start swallowing water and laughed at me.

No.

To be clear, I'm not talking about playing games/sports and someone accidentally getting hurt. I mean deliberately doing something that is purely malicious and has a high potential for seriously hurting someone.

What's malicious about pulling out someone's chair? 999 out of a 1000 times they'd get a bruised behind (and ego). And you had to watch your back at school for the rest of the day. This was dumb ****ing luck. The poor kid who tried to make a joke(Only funny to anyone under the age of 20) will be paying for it for the rest of his life.

Got that. Just weird. In my time it was like everyone was just waiting to catch someone with something. It was a constant thing each and every day you would be prepared for anything. People would punch the back of your knee, knee you on your thigh, trip you while walking in line or bump you into the urinal and so on. To mention but a few. Us kids were prepared for anything :D

Mouseys, dead legs, chinese bangles, klap to the side of the head, etc.

Part of my child hood.

Also had that phase where you would place your hand over someone's face and pull your middle finger back and let it go to strike their fore head. You would take turns to see who does it the hardest :D

I was in a boarding school.
I've seen this done to someone using an erect penis.

I remember there was a short stint where kids were sticking drawing pins in their shoes and rubbing the drawing pin really fast on the concrete to heat it up.
They'd stroll past and touch you on some exposed flesh leaving a nasty burn.
When this failed, they'd remove the drawing bin, stick it in a rubber and do the same except now they had a mobile torture device.
I still have a mark on my hand from school 18 years ago.
