PvE enchancement Shaman weapons

Potency is lose even for Enhance.

Enhance is very crit based so 120 Agi ands 2% Haste is awesome for them. Crusader is only slightly worse then Mongoose as it procs for +140 AP which is a nice boost.

Mongoose > Crusader then ?

Or maybe one of each ? I'm lost :(

Yep
Mongoose > Crusader > Potency

Do you know if there is a proc rate difference between Crusader and Mongoose ? I know Mongoose is superior. But I think I need to try with 2 crusader first, then change one to Mongoose, then change both to Mongoose.

After a few raids I should have an idea if Mongoose x2 > Mongoose+Crusader I'm saying this because i know on my rogue the proc on Mongoose is pretty lame though. Or maybe I'm just spoilt with my WF weapon Procs on my 2.6 weapons :D

I'm loving this thread, now I dont need to ask these questions. Thanks Pitbull, and gz on 70!

Pitbull, you'll be losing dps if you have 1 crusader and 1 mongoose

Crusader is the poor mans mongoose, you'll get what you pay for.

2x Mongoose > Everything
And as a Rogue I don't know how you can say the proc is lame. It's really good for Enhance but it's far far better for a Rogue because that 120 Agi is 120 AP and Crit.

I can out deepee-es you all with me level 63 mwuahahahaaaha

Can Rogue stuff be used for Druid Ferals?

Maybe my wording was wrong. I was referring to the "Proc rate" It's not as often as I would have liked it to be. I was wondering if there is a difference in the proc rates between Crusader and Mongoose. Does WF affect the Proc rate with the WF procs as it's more hits

This is the part that is confusing me, get where i'm going with this ?

I get that, read my post just above this one. Is there a difference in Proc rate between the 2 ? And also, does it have a higer proc rate with WF weapon as the amount of hits per minute is more ?

Or does a Rogue still have more hits per minute than a shaman with WF weapon ?

Hmm, are you asking if you can get a mongoose proc off a WF hit?

According to wowhead it can proc off Devastate, although it doesnt matter if it does affect the proc rate as a shaman (due to WF's 3 sec interal CD), i doubt it does proc off windfury, otherwise it would also proc off instant poison? Rogues do hit faster (SnD) anyway

Crusader and Mongoose both work off Procs Per Minute so they'll proc at approximately the same number of times in any given minute regardless of your weapon speed or effects like WF.
I'm not sure what the difference is between Crusaders PPM and Mongooses PPM but I seem to recall they're almost the same.

Not quite

Lets say Mongoose procs every 30 hits and i get 100 hits in with my Rogue. That will be 3 proc's

If I have the same fight with a shaman in the same time span I will score 120 hits which means 4 Proc's

Now what I'm saying is: Does WF count as hits in the proc cycle for the Mongoose ? Or is the mongoose Proc just a random proc and the same with all the others ?

Remember WF proc is 3 more hits added to your one single hit.

Now this sounds very confusing and I think I just fried my brain :D

Lets start here:

Does Mongoose have a Proc CD (Time) or is it based on amount of hits scored ?

ooooo ok nice, you just answered my question :D

So it's not hit based but random within a set time ? or is it based on number of hits ?

Lets say one proc every 30 hits ?

Your confusing yourself :D
It is both time and hit based :O If you get 30 hits per minute it will be 1 proc per 15 hits or 2 procs per minute ;)
If you have 50 hits per minute it will be 1 proc per 25 hits and 2 per minute.

It only activates when you score a hit though. Slower weapons have a higher chance than fast weapons, but is evens out over time.

Offhand weapons have an internal cooldown on procs though, so it seems that you cant proc the offhand more than once per minute. I never tested this though...

If I get this right, It means it's hit based and cap'd at a set number per minute ? Cos that makes sense. I would however feel that the time CD be removed. I think someone hitting more frequent deserves more procs. But that might just be me :o

Thanx for clearing it up for me

Yes, but only due to the 3s CD. It procs every 3 seconds, thus if you score a hit once every 1.6 seconds you will skip a proc.

Slight change of Wording: "It [cannot] proc [more then] every 3 seconds."
