So I compared the charged amounts for renewing my licence disks. Before the Natis system came online, I've decided to renew my disks through Q No More, at the end of January this year.

Q No More = R1,803.65 total
Natis = R1,163.70 total

But why? How do you justify a difference of more than R600? Yesses.

It's February the 22nd. Still haven't received my new disks. Not even an update.

I do this, every year, for all of my cars.

My bank doesn’t charge me R600 to use the app.

That's surprising. I never really understood why these Q-for-U services are so popular but I guess that explains it.

Well, cant compare it with banking.

Go into Post Office on day and time convenient to me(during their operating hours), walk out with license disk 5 to 30 minutes later.

Do license renewal online, pay additional fees, have to wait at 1 location the whole day for a courier to come drop it off, hopefully not on a day you have to be somewhere else.

It's not like I will trust the Post Office to safely deliver it.

Been paying all our cars and bakkies directly with City of Cape Town since 2003. It has always worked well.

However, payments made since 28th November have not resulted in a licence disc being received. All Council will say is that there are delays. 3 of our vans expired on 31st Jan so there is a chance we won't be able to use them next month. We went to the municipal office (2 hour queue) and they said the fee had been paid.

This is me for all delivery services now. Takelot orders go to pick-up points. Any store that offers in-store pick-up (Yuppiechef, Sportsman’s Warehouse, iStore) gets my preference. This is how it will be until one day a delivery service can tell me when they’ll arrive at my house to within the hour.

Well excuse your good for nothing lazy ass.. q no more is a business, with expenses and employees.. should they now charge exactly the same as the government..?

Thats not how a business works buddy.. they need to make money which means they are going to charge more than you would pay if you did it yourself.. THAT'S HOW THE JUSTIFY THE DIFFERENCE..

If you don't like how much they charge, go do it yourself or find a different provider that charges less..

You don't want to do things "in the 20th century fashion" but, you also don't want to pay to do things in the "21st century fashion"....

I just do it through the FNB app. Costs R699 ( R499 for the disk + R200 fee).

Our local Post Office cannot process car licence renewals as they are off-line. Been like this since mid-January

Can do it online in CoCT. I've renewed my licence online for years now. They post the new disk to you.

Because they've closed many of the post offices in our area. The ones that are still open are either stupidly busy or offline.
