Hi, i've got a small home wifi network that has grown quite a lot recently and i'm experiencing some problems.
I've got 3 Computers. One is basically online all the time, even some nights as well. The other two is used maybe 4 hours a day each.
There is also two Cellphones that is always connected to Wifi and a printer, but I doubt that the printer is going to be a problem.
Now, the problem is that I have to run all of these on a single 1Mbps internet connection.
My Download speed is fairly constant at 1Mbps but my upload fluctuates between 0.1 - 0.25Mbps.
I've tinkered with the bandwidth control on my TP Link router but it isn't good enough.
It basically gives me the option to limit certain IP's to certain speeds.
What I really need is to use all of it on the device that needs it. Or to put it more simply, limit the crap out of it on cellphones and 1 pc when they are idle and allow the other two pc's to share it equally and then when the third pc is used share it on a 33 / 33 / 33 basis, so that when one or even both pcs are done, it goes back to full on the one that is still using it.
But the TP-Link QoS is not complex enough to allow for that.
Does that make any sense to anyone? Or more importantly is there a simple and easy cost effective way of getting something like this without replacing everything?
