I have a AR Drone 2.0 )soon to be modded to RC control) and awaiting delivery on my Eachine Runner 250 :D (with plenty of spares...)

So who has pre-ordered the Mavic?

Tempted to do so today although I will probably over think it while I wait for it to arrive. I'm more of an impulse buyer so would prefer just driving to a shop and grabbing one.

My first drone was a homemade jobby. Electric glider with a camera strapped to it. This was around 12 years ago,would love to get back into it.

Congrats. I wonder when they get here if they will be available to pick up or will pre orders snatch them up. Some or other company was advertising them on Facebook (SA company) and there was like 50 people asking so there seems to be quite a lot of interest in SA.

Side question: I don't suppose there are any problems with taking a Phantom / Mavic on a plane as hand luggage?

Best to declare them and leave it to the discretion of the airline. Maybe even get something on email from them in advance and print it out.
