Quadcopter/Drone Thread

Meanwhile the Mavic order queue has gone to *10 weeks* now, up from 6 weeks.

If I wasn't so set on getting one, I'd just get the bloody P4 Pro+ and be done with it.
My friend was flying his P4 Pro+ around Beijing's new airport, really nice footage.
I even changed my secondary desktop to that as a background.


I'm still quite disappointed in the DJI Flagship store in Shanghai, although the Tesla store with the Model X made up for the total waste of time that was my DJI Store visit*. Luckily its only walking distance from the office, otherwise I'd be even more annoyed

*No stock, no demo's and no touching.

4 battries alone would come close to R7k new?
 
Did a bit of flighting last night over Woodbridge island area (CPT). P4 definitely isnt made for low light but was reasonably impressed. ISO on 400 and shutter speed on 50 and produced decent enough picture.

Will try and upload little clip later today to youtube. As well my crash from couple weeks back.

Sounds cool. Don't want to be that guy, but just remember that Woodbridge is well within a 10km radius restricted zone around Ysterplaat.
 
At least with the DJI's you get told where the no-fly zones are in the software.
It won't actually let you fly in a no-fly zone unless you specifically apply for permission from DJI.

@Quantum, yeah I know about that. No fly zones every place there is a nice view or something seems like. Difficult law to enforce as well, just saying. Most law enforcement probably don't know about that as well. They'll probably want to see what you doing and think it's cool.

Not justifying that what I am doing isnt wrong. Just saying I'll take my chances. Moral of the story, fly safe, line of sight and don't be stupid.
 
Made a video of trip to Knysna and Wilderness. The colors is off, I couldn't decide between log and none colour profile. Think made a hash of that. Just gonna keep with none instead going forward.
