Queen's Jubilee River Pageant

Switched between tennis, looked like a massive turnout.
Rain killed it, but what do you expect in London lol!

I remember years ago when the Queen et al came to visit our school for its quatercentenary - the whole town lined up on the streets just to catch a glimpse of the Royals.

Seriously the brits are in deep shcit financially and then they go waste a whole heap of money on some old broad who dresses funny??? and we moan about our govermint wasting money on unessential parties

I was under the impression that the royal family paid for this... ?

The costs for the River Pageant will be covered by the Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation. The Foundation is a privately funded charitable trust which aims to raise funds for charitable projects that have a link to The Queen and her Diamond Jubilee, with a particular focus on areas such as the Commonwealth, youth and education, as well as supporting the wider charitable sector.

Happier now ?

I don't recall a million people turning up to support the ANC at one of their parties.

does it really matter who paid for it ? It is still a waste of money.

well if they (the Royals) wanna waste their money on boats going down a river, I guess its up to them.

doubt they gonna pay for the financial impact of the bank holiday they declared for tomorrow
