I ve been trying to check the statusses on a few ADSL faults the past couple of days on telkoms website but keep on getting the same msg
The Fault Reference number entered does not exist.
Does it work?

Well, our line is down again tonight so I tried reporting it on the Telkom website:

Apparently my line number is not registered on their network??? If I wish to proceed with the fault reporting I must enter a secondary number.... Unbelievable!

We've had almost no internet for 2 weeks. Line up and down, line noise, slow, slow internet. Phone them every day. When we do have internet it is max 45KB/s on a 4Mb line. From a line that worked perfectly for 2 years solid to a line straight from hell. And no resolution in sight. Of course, I have a raft of Telkom Fault Reference Numbers all of which are magically "resolved" the following day without anything actually being done to fix the problem.

The only thing that has saved my sanity, is that I've been away on business for the last 10 days and I'm only returning tomorrow night. I'm ready for a sit-in at the local Telkom shop on Monday morning.

Celebrating the restoration of my internet. My stolen life has been returned to me. Hope it lasts.

When I query my residential fault online it just shows that it is 'Open'. When I called 10212 earlier, the aunty said it's been assigned to a technician.

I celebrated too early. Everything was perfect for about 1 hour. Gone again. And technicians have probably all gone home. Guess I have my 1 hour ration to look forward to tomorrow.

My fault also says "Open". I guess tracking a fault consists of "Open" and 'Closed". So incredibly useful and informative.
