question for those on uncapped axxess express+

Hey peeps.

If possible - during 8:01-19:59 - can anyone perhaps help me with a latency/packetloss test.

Running say full NNTP (giganews/astraweb) and then try to ping anything / do anything else - skype /FB - i get TOTAL packet loss and none of the services work.

Just want to know if the 22.8 KB size is shaped so badly that NNTP cannot operate during daytime together with the rest.

yeah NNTP comes to a grinding halt during the day and I gave up trying to download and access other internet services at the same time. Normal browsing etc though during the day is more than bearable without NNTP. I know some guys leave their NNTP downloads run 24 hrs, but I couldnt bear watching it trickle away at 20k. Only using the service then after hrs and weekends, i still manage to download around 500-600GB easily.

what worries me is that i've tried a saix manual "throttle" (netlimiter) - 18KB/sec window - and with that running i can do nntp , surf , skype and all the lovely things...
