I have tried to find info on this but everything dates back to 2006-2009, which does not help much.

I have an old GeForce 8600GS PCI and a GeForce 8600GS AGP - am I able to connect them in SLI and if so, will it offer any advantages?

I am sure there are SLI experts hanging around here somewhere ;)

Thanks

It does work, but I'm not sure why you would want to. There'd be no driver support, for one. The SLI bridge also doesn't handle all the communication between the cards, some of it still travels over the interconnect that the motherboard offers. With AGP, that's a really slow standard compared to PCI-E 1.0. Also, I remember that boards offering PCI-E and AGP weren't exactly dime-a-dozen either. I only remember two being offered by ASRock.
