u missed the point: Christians are hypocrites.
Most religious people are hypocrites - they choose which part of the Bible/Koran/Torah/Bhagavad Gita to believe and which part to conveniently ignore.
From my point of view muslims are KAFIR
16. Relate in the Book (the story of) Mary, when she withdrew from her family to a place in the East.
17. She placed a screen (to screen herself) from them; then We sent her our angel, and he appeared before her as a man in all respects.
18. She said: "I seek refuge from thee to ((Allah)) Most Gracious: (come not near) if thou dost fear Allah."
19. He said: "Nay, I am only a messenger from thy Lord, (to announce) to thee the gift of a holy son.
20. She said: "How shall I have a son, seeing that no man has touched me, and I am not unchaste?"
21. He said: "So (it will be): Thy Lord saith, 'that is easy for Me: and (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign unto men and a Mercy from Us':It is a matter (so) decreed."
22. So she conceived him, and she retired with him to a remote place.
23. And the pains of childbirth drove her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her anguish): "Ah! would that I had died before this! would that I had been a thing forgotten and out of sight!"
24. But (a voice) cried to her from beneath the (palm-tree): "Grieve not! for thy Lord hath provided a rivulet beneath thee;
25. "And shake towards thyself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will let fall fresh ripe dates upon thee.
26. "So eat and drink and cool (thine) eye. And if thou dost see any man, say, 'I have vowed a fast to ((Allah)) Most Gracious, and this day will I enter into not talk with any human being'"
27. At length she brought the (babe) to her people, carrying him (in her arms). They said: "O Mary! truly an amazing thing hast thou brought!
28. "O sister of Aaron! Thy father was not a man of evil, nor thy mother a woman unchaste!"
29. But she pointed to the babe. They said: "How can we talk to one who is a child in the cradle?"
30. He said: "I am indeed a servant of Allah. He hath given me revelation and made me a prophet;
31. "And He hath made me blessed wheresoever I be, and hath enjoined on me Prayer and Charity as long as I live;
32. "(He) hath made me kind to my mother, and not overbearing or miserable;
33. "So peace is on me the day I was born, the day that I die, and the day that I shall be raised up to life (again)"!
34. Such (was) Jesus the son of Mary: (it is) a statement of truth, about which they (vainly) dispute.
35. It is not befitting to (the majesty of) Allah that He should beget a son. Glory be to Him! when He determines a matter, He only says to it, "Be", and it is.
36. Verily Allah is my Lord and your Lord: Him therefore serve ye: this is a Way that is straight.
And the Jews that still don't believe in Jesus, even though he was from them ?

...Muslims are about where Christians were 500 years ago when they were burning heretics at the stake. Sam was interviewed by Lawrence O'Donnell on MSNBC on Nov 16 and compared Muslims to the Christians of the 14th century. Further, he is worried about living in a world where the only people who are certain of moral truths are religious demagogues who think the universe is 6000 years old. An example is Pastor Terry Jones who wanted to burn Qur'ans. He is right about Islam but for the wrong reason. As Sam says, despite the fact they are all called religions, they have little in common - just like the sports of Badminton and Thai boxing have nothing in common except breathing.
Would you permit him marry your daughter supposing you had one?
We are both believers in the supreme God
correction, you believe in A god, for which there is no evidence
To be honest, if she had to take Jesus to be God then i guess not.
All i want to point out is that we believe in the same thing. We are both believers in the supreme God so i have no problem with that, We both have the same commandments, I just won't accept that 300 years after christ passes away, a group of people decide what they want in and what they want out and what is right and wrong and the correct way. I don't believe that that is the way God revealed his message.
also, in all honesty, if the Bible weren't changed, then there would have not been a need for God to send down the Qur'aan as I believe I would have been a Christian today then.
Correction to you Naks but to me and a Christian, leaving out the atheist, we both believe in the supreme God as the creator of the universe. If it were A creator in the universe then that would not make it definite/singular, the emphasis of the "the" is to emphasise the singularity of God.
You choose to believe in a god. Your delusion is your prerogative.
Hi who me.
From my point of view, as a muslim, i regard you, a christian, as a believer. The ten commandments even states that there is only one god and you should not take any god besides him. You believe in the all powerful being? no? yes you do, i do too. I just stopped at the notion that god had a son. Jesus was not God's son. He was a human being.
Matthew 7:15-23 (King James Version)
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I call them Jews. Duh.
I stop at the notion that Mohamed was a prophet, he was a conman.

George Bush on a number of occasions stated that the Christians and Muslims worshipped the same god - you don't believe a word he says, do you ?
