Anyone heard of Quicktrade?
Someone I knew has been recently employed by them, and for training, used me as their lab rat to ask questions, present me with numbers, etc.
They want to sell to me that I should begin trading on my own, on their platform, linked to my bank account. Provided the training and financial stuffs, etc.

I really don't buy it. The numbers they presented to me seems like a bit overblown, AND before any of you them fanboys or customers of Quicktrade begin to grill me,
I just want to know, is it worth it to begin trading and get the figures they presented to me?

I told the manager that I'm happy with my finances as-is.
My realistic expectations is, that stocks don't rise to 50% of their original price overnight, maybe R3-5, or fall a bit.
Our markets, I believe, is not something to begin meddling with since 'rona. I feel now is not the right time to trade?
numbers just don't make sense.

In short, is it worth it?
Here comes nights of HODLING and market watching...

anyone using them?
someone recommended them to me....but i am a bit hesitant...
They ALREADY want a copy of my ID book, calling me on my cellphone, whatsapp....

I just wanted to start with a demo account and take it from there....

If a company is making you uncomfortable even before you're using them, walk away.

I agree....BUT,
The person who recommended them spoke highly of them, they train you, give you tips, analyze trades....
I used a company called gt247 in the past and i just lost money because i didn't get proper training, I would like to do it differently this time.

You want to lose more money?

Also, you just money or you lost money?

Can’t help someone that doesn’t want to be helped. There are plenty of free books and YouTube videos that will teach you everything from the basics to advanced trading.
But if you trust this person so much, try it and learn the lesson.

I will read the books and approach it differently this time.
just asking if someone used that company and if they can recommend them.

Then spend a few months diving into it for yourself & only then decide whether the company is right for you.

Asking whether you trust this broker and making money on the market is 2 separate issues.

Found this review on them.

It seems they are registered and they are a regulated broker but as as far as profitability goes
I havent come across a course from a broker thats profitable yet.
Rather open a demo account with them, you wont miss much by not running in with real money.
Dont sign up for courses.

Study from some experts and if you break even after 1 year that would be a best case scenario.
Trade in a demo format and learn from that experience.
You will need more mentoring and reading before reaching profitability.
There are very few traders that make it big within the first 5 years of trading.
...and yes we all think when we start that it will be different for me.

Lol when ppl trade with 500:1 leverage its not trading but gambling... Yes Def money to be made. But the house will win 99% of the time.

You are playing with fire if you don't have the right experience here and they are milking you for money giving you that "experience".

Stay away.

If you want legit fsca approved brokers look at thinkeasy and ig markets, but same caution applies. High leverage means fast gains and fast losses.

You will need to hand over some details but they do that for kyc purposes. Very normal especially where large sums of money are in play.

.

I would highly recommend anyone stays away from IG markets.
Just a tip

Haven't had issues curious why you say that?

For one thing its not a real broker. All legitimate brokers have moved over to only being the middle man,
they dont care if you win or lose, they take fee for putting your order into the market...this makes them neutral whether you win or lose.
IG still does things like the old school bucket shops, you trade against them.

If you look at their financials, last year they made £863mil - they make this from their clients.
In other words its like dealing with a casino, and believing that the casino will help you with the best technology to help you win...against them.

Just saying they are not incentivesed to help you win...

Oh 100% I did say in my post leveraged trading is essentially gambling. House wins 99% of the time.

Sure...but thats a completely different point. House wins because of the decisions traders make (irrelevant if the broker is good or not),
this has to do with the tools this broker offers.

I have been training myself on demo IQ option account that uses leverage of 1:500 and it was up and down for about a month and a half.

Started with real money in Nov. Went from R300 to R4500 in a week and a half.

It's all about the discipline and patience.

Looking at moving to a good broker now and using the MT4 or MT5 trade platform that will give you tighter spreads.

Just my 2c.

Nice, please report back at the end of november whether you are still up or it’s down. High leveraged trading is awesome till it’s not, one mistake or market movement and it’s all wiped off, and mistakes and unexpected movements are a normal part of trading.
