the news tonight says it looks like the bafana bafana coach is quitting. wtf?
 
yeah for R1.8mil a month over 12 months i would also not worry about the money and only winning a game.
 
i heard about this last night on 94.7 News ... They said his wife was sick/medical reasons (can't remember)... but I think there is other reasons... he made enough money long time ago...

ye i also heard on 94.7........Has he released a statement concerning this?
 
never mind his statement about his future plans i would love to see his bank statement, i could do with some of those figures in mine.
 
look i think he knows he is going to waste 3 years of life for bafana to be elinated in the group stages

we have 0 soccer talent

plus his wife is ill

kudos to him for putting his family before money and football

I just hope your comments do not come from a place which sees soccer as a black sport and therefore it must be useless?

Firstly, TelkomLoser, the most useless team would be the one at the bottom of the FIFA rankings and this is definitely not Bafana Bafana. In fact South Africa are 69th out of 202 listed countries! Far from the most useless!

Killa, you too make emotionally driven but far from factual statements. Funny how the people who know their soccer do not seem to feel the same way as you do. Benni McCarthy is the joint highest paid player at Blackburn Rovers. Wonder why they pay someone so much money if they have zero talent? I could go on listing the other South Africans who have played international soccer but do not really feel the need to waste my cap proving something which needs no proving - that we do have plenty soccer talent in this country! Yes the administrators may be a problem but to make accusations of zero talent is silly.
 
Well if you call your team "the boys" or something don't complain when play like a bunch of kids :D

I am also fully aware that our ranking has been higher. But I am equally aware of the fact that we are far from the "most useless team"

Well it was a question that I put forward and did state that I hoped it was not so. But in saying that, I do live in this country and I do hear what people say on a daily basis about things like this.

A direct accusation would have been wrong but I think I am well within my rights to question it.
 
SA soccer needs more white people in the game. But as long as politicians keep crapping on sport, that won't happen.
