i'm not going to back anyone up, i think picard said, that we should get more white players, well, i said something like that as well a bit earlier. Wejust have to look at our soccer team, they are not performing well, i havent seen an idian or colored person in the bafana team. Let's be honest, the soccer team is being ruled by the gov....

why is it ghana cameroon nigeria all have good team yet they are black

so the whole story of get some whites into the soccer team is silly

besides we all know afrikaaners cannot play footie :)
 
but compared to the german/dutch/french/italian teams, who are mostly white, they still win most of the championships :)

Regardless of any race issues/sensitivities us forumites might have, the man has stated he's quitting because he wants to be with his sick wife. I the salary and loyalty that so many in this thread refer to is important, I would hate to have any of you on the same side as me if we go to war. Yes, I am ex military and yes, I am an African. I'm proud of both and if our coach feel that family comes before a paycheque, good on him! At least his values are in place. Flame if you want!

Good summary. Having a spouse die is a terrible experience, and if you do not obey your instincts you will regret it the rest of your life. So.. If this is genuine, let him go.
