 Ridiculous. Why??? Why can't we just have generic bulbs that you can buy at every petrol station? Where can one get H7 12V 55W bulbs at a reasonable price?

That's nothing... Xenon bulbs go for much much much more. Can't comment on the pricing elsewhere but it seems fine to me? You forget, the rand is barely worth it's own weight in stones these days

That's about right. Try and get two H7 Osram nightbreakers, easy R600 a pair.

They too bright for me. Went back to original ones :p

Plus I only paid R200 brand new.

I think I paid R150/pair of 4000K bulbs at Midas. My fogs though.... R450/pair. as mentioned, other high end bradns can be R600 or more per pair....

Good grief. And why more than one bulb per headlight for pete's sake. There is the H7 and then some other one that sort of blasts the light sideways and then another one? I mean, really. And the rear lights need a special screwdriver to get the thing loose. Fed up.

On my VW its an H7 for each main head light as well as an H7 for the Brights....
then a W5W bulb for those tiny parkiing lights.

was like 30 bux for a H1. but now to figure out how to change the damn thing without removing the whole headlight.

Be glad you don't need to remove the tyre in order to change the headlight...

R149 at midas for a pair of h7 55w. Hella I think. Seem to last a year or two depending on the potholes...

I need an indicator. Midas = R7, BMW = R280
Slightly different bayonet socket. Midas one is straight (P21W) and BMW one has offset pins (PY21W).

:(

H7 is pretty common. Nightbreakers are great.
