Wait, doesn't the browser on the new Nokia phones compress 90% of data like BB's do so it's similar to how BIS has a theoretical 100mb for R59 value???

Opera is the browser and yes. You can put Opera on pretty much any phone that can go on the internet.

Wifi is not really so available, plus it is expensive and generally insecure. New "special" wifi rates are still R250/GB :wtf:

WISP hotspots - the minute you are not at home or in the office its 3G or hotspots. Not everyone sits at home and at work exclusively, these are the most likely buyers of a set fee service.

Yesterday I did about 140MB. This was BIS, mails, web surfing, a lot of mp3's and a bit of youtube. On Cell-c and opera it seems like youtube uses BIS, because I've got no funds in the pay as you go card and its still going strong.

Very interesting - that is a MUCH better value proposition then [Cell C BIS]!!! Are you sure it isn't just the Cell C free topup data or something like that?

Nah I've used that up already, but anyways went back to my Vodacom prepaid sim again, at home cell-c struggles a bit.
