Jews can probably get away with making Holocaust jokes. Germans definitely won't be able to.

Tutsis can probably get away with making Rwandan genocide jokes. Hutus also will not be able to.

It's a fact of life & if someone is too dumb to realise this, then I feel no sympathy for any **** that may flow their way.

Why is she fired for making a silly joke? O, she used the "white" word and now the world went racist nazi over it.
This is the exact reason I don't use twitter or facebook anymore.

Because of political correctness. A particularly nasty disease that has taken hold in society. What she said is nothing more than a lame joke, blown way out of proportion.

This whole thing makes me think of the Ozzie cricket commentator who lost his job for a stupid off-the-air joke when Hashim was coming out to bat...

. Asking if Twitter, "adds meaning" to my life is like asking if my car, "adds meaning to my life". Its incredibly useful tool in my life but not a defining feature in the "meaning to life" :)
