Hi,

I can get this card for R1999 (ex vat).

What do you guys think?

So far i been reading good reviews on it.

It performs between a 4850 and 4870. Rather get a 4870 which is cheaper if you're looking for pure performance. The 5770 will have eyeinfinty but will be too weak for gaming on dual screens. So the only reason to get it would be for DX11 but I'm not sure whether there is any benefit/visible difference with DX11. I dont think it's worth the price.
 
Yeah i lean towards the 4870 still as better value for money. The 5770 and 5750 are overpriced right now i think.
 
The Gigabyte one has 3 years warranty, all the others are 1 year AFAIK.

Does anyone know when Axiz will be getting the XFX version loaclly, and what the local warranty will be on it? It's "Double Lifetime" in the US but I doubt that will happen here.
 
you can get a HD 5770 for about R1750...

Mean while the HD4870 will cost around R2000 (cheapest).

The HD5770 is also suffering from retailer markup (because it's almost Christmas, and it's brand new on the market).

So expect it to come down to R1500 early early next year.

Hmmm, if you have a crossfire motherboard, then get it, if you don't have a crossfire mother board, then don't get it...

Axiz have the XFX and the Asus 5770 for R1610, excluding vat.
 
I would buy the 4890 for R1944 from prophecy.. oh wait I just did and its just arrived on my desk at work :p :p
