The land of milk and honey is a big land. In fact, it is huge. Rainfall is not predicted for all parts of it simultaneously. As the cloud keeps forming, more rainfall in more areas can be expected. In the meantime, don't forget to perform your prayers, raindance, etc. And most importantly, always keep the faith.

They can't see my router so I am Fine until they make contact or I have a issue

are the updates happening on the old CPE Pro routers as well?
tried to do a force update, but get timeout errors...

I wouldn't really worry about it if you not having issues. but i think they push the firmware updates?

After they pushed a firmware update, my WLAN settings have been reset and I cannot set it up manually, keep getting config failed error
Hello, mine does exactly the same after firmware update - have you heard from them yet? I have also logged a ticket with them.

Hi

This is is the response I got when I asked them why my unit was not updated. Very frustrating when they do not know what is happening on their side

Hi Chris,

I hope you are well and thanks for your patience.

- Since when have you been experiencing this problem?
- Is the device indoors or mounted outside?
- What colors are the LED lights on the router?

Please try to reboot or reset the router, try to reposition the router while monitoring your signal readings.

Can you please do a hard reset on the router using the following steps:

- Log into the router using 192.168.8.1.
- Username and password will be admin in lower case.
- Click on System.
- Click on "Reset" button and enter your login password.
- The router will then do a hard reset

Log onto the router using the following: 192.168.8.1 and then scroll down and click on "Details", you will then see a lot of information, monitor the readings for 5G: RSRP, RSRQ and lastly SINR.

Once you have managed to position the device with good signal readings, you can test the speeds:

- Connect your device via Lan cable to test the speeds (Most accurate).
- Connect via wifi and check whether your device supports both 2.4 GHz and 5GHz frequency bands. When searching for nearby devices on wifi, you will either see one or two 5G wifi names (Huawei 5G CPE BB06 and Huawei 5G CPE 5G BB06). The second 5G means 5GHZ.

If your device can pick up both frequencies, please test both and choose the one giving you the best speeds. Unfortunately, some device can only connect via 2.4 GHz and this can reduce your speeds over wifi.

The primary differences between the two frequencies are the range (coverage) and bandwidth (speed) that the bands provide. The 2.4 GHz band provides coverage at a longer range but transmits data at slower speeds. The 5 GHz band provides less coverage but transmits data at faster speeds.

Signal quality:

RSRP (dBm) -80 to -90 (Good), > -80 (Excellent)
RSRQ (db) -10 to -15 (Good), > -10 (Excellent)
SINR (db) 13 to 20 (Good), > 20 (Excellent)

Thanks,

Angus D

to be honest - if you not experiencing any issues whilst on the older firmware then dont stress to much if its not done yet. i dont see any material difference if at all to speeds, connectivity, signal etc. - if you are experiencing issues then thats another story.
