Hi,

new to the site, I have tried looking for a solution, but I'm at a loss. I have had Rain 5G for quite a while now and I am really happy with it, however over the last month or so I have had an issue.

My internet works perfectly over ethernet but wirelessly does not. The phones in the house have an exclamation next to the WiFi bar and say the internet may not be available. No settings were changed, So I'm really at a loss for what to do. What's even weirder is the fact that it is completely intermittent.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you connecting through 2.4Ghz or 5Ghz to the router?

Are there any other WIFI devices interfering (a MIFI router, neighbour's router or such)?

Don't think there are any other routers interfering, I can post a screenshot of my WLAN settings if need be, but I am connected via 2.4ghz

Perhaps try changing the channel, should be on auto by default. You could also attempt changing the bandwidth (20Mhz)

when you restart the router the phones connect again? - normally the exclamation mark is due to phones not getting ip or internet throught the wifi connection.

When I restart sometimes it will work, other times the phones won't even pick up the router anymore for a while. This is despite the fact that the router says WiFi is solid.

I had this issue about a month ago. It turns out Rain upgraded the routers remotely which messed up the WAN for the people that had customized the settings. Get hold of the dude from Rain on the forums and h should sort you out. Either that or open a ticket on their site.

try and run wifi analyzer to check for inteference and adjust channel and width settings as per above.

Yes, you should be able to do that either via the browser or with a button on the router itself (might be a pinhole button).

Which router is it?
