Rain 5G users - Please do a MyBroadband speed test

Youtube was blazingly quick. The 4k video started playing immediately, it didn't even think about it. It was actually really amazing. Didnt try netflix, will try that when I get my UHD TV this weekend.
keep me posted and a screenshot of statsfornerds on youtube

So if I currently have a 50/50 Fibre line at 1k pm.. Would u guys advise that I get 5g?Also is there a way of testing before I commit?

Stick with the fibre. Depending on your area see whether you can get 100Mbps for that 1k if you have a need for speed. Do not revisit this thread, otherwise even the 100Mbps will feel like it's not enough.

These wireless/LTE products all seem to follow the same path. First few months there is a thread on MyBroadband where happy customers can show off their wonderful down load speeds, and how wonderful company XYZ is. Next few months a thread about deteriorating service and not being able to download / stream especially during peak periods (6-11pm). Next the ISP introduces data caps, whilst still calling it uncapped. Finally a thread about how difficult it is to cancel the contract and what scumbags company XYZ is. The END.

No more like 4Mbps. Take 400Mbps and divide by 100 people on the same tower.
i doubt it would be that bad and i was actually getting decent speeds on 4G not to many folk use it where i stay.

Your results now won't be the same in 3 months, 6 months, a year. With fibre you always get the same.

I'm in Rivonia. Speeds have been pretty good- local and international.

I get a 95% rating. This is based on the optimizer tool on the 5G router. Based on the optimizer on the URL supplied by Rain (for activation) I'm getting and average signal. Not sure why the difference. Anyone else experiencing this difference?

LAN throughput on the Huawei CPE Pro 5G router is also sub 1Gbps - only getting around 500Mbps on the Iperf tests... anyone else experiencing this issue or know if this can be overcome?
