Here are screenshots of the promo.

Became aware of it due to it showing up as an ad on my phone's Chrome browser while checking Gumtree for LTE routers. Screenshot_2021-06-06-22-42-05-280_com.android.chrome.jpgScreenshot_2021-06-06-22-42-47-596_com.android.chrome.jpg

Please keep us posted on how smoothly their current Rica process works for you.

I'm tempted to order, but the Rain Online RICA thread is making me a bit hesitant...

Yeah not even sure it will work, taking a risk, just outside coverage zone but mount it up high to see if it works.

if the wind blows the right way, it works,
but then if it isnt just right, worthless hunk of plastic, with pretty lights.
Yeah will see.

The area where the towers are located near me all has fibre, so there is no reason for anybody to sign up to rain 5g. So hoping if I can get a signal its decent speeds.

I don't fibre due my area being spilt by railroad and other side N1 highway, and 5g also stop 2 streets away from me lol

I'm a bit worried when you say railroad, how active?
as that will block the signal, and cause issues

even by me, on the R250 jobbie, if somebody parks their car in the wrong spot, no signal.

It's pretty far railroad, the trees are more of the issue!

Interested in rain 5G I see our area has just gotten more coverage according to whatever the map represents. Fibre is way too expensive here. Only thing is internet needs to be on during loadshedding for about 4 hours a day two sessions, adsl works flawlessly but the upload bites. 4G stays congested here unfortunately.

So far so good, I have tripple download speed, but 1/3 less upload compared to supersonic.

But half the ping than supersonic.

Ok Manage to get 3 bar 5g signal, working well so far.

But now my wifi mesh can't deliver the speeds over wifi. even know I got deco wifi mesh.

ALso need go find double side tape, need to tape down the router on the roof lol

You can get a pole here:

If you look further down the page you see the brackets.

Pic is of my mounting and screenshot is a Speedtest I did on a tower 750m away, this tower is one day old.
DL: 512Mbps UL: 115Mbps

@rain_networks & @rain_mobile are keeping to their promise of reaching 5000 new households everyday.

Thanks buddy … that’s lovely speeds but are you within 5g coverage?
Sure no problem, you're welcome.

I am within 5G coverage as of today, the new tower is 750m away. This tower is less than one day old.

Previously, I was connecting to a tower 4,5 kms away (DL:180 UL:45), and then two weeks ago I started connecting with a tower 2,7kms away, (DL:480 UL:100) and now the new tower is 500 and above.
