We have read 35mm so far this month in our Claremont garden, about 9mm more than our 32-year December average of 26.52mm. This is only our 4th above average month for 2022, and we are still 329.67mm short of our end of year average of 1133.67mm.

Agree, have no problem with a day of rain every 2 to 3 days.

And rain in the off-season means... are you guys like farmers? or maybe you have a roofing or house painting business? One can play rugby in the rain.

But not cricket!! Our annual double wicket competition was cancelled for the 1st time in 25 years. Always held on the 16th. The rain is welcome however. My water bill triples in summer so I'll take all the help I can get.

Most forecasts don't mention rain if the expected amount is <1mm. I have seen plenty of charts showing cloudy conditions, with a weak cold front passing south of CT today.

Slightly surprising rain started in Kenilworth at 9:45pm, as a weak front brushes the SW-Cape. Should be significantly cooler tomorrow (Thurs 29th).
