How is it going with your choice? I'm looking at this one - your thoughts?

Edit: LOL - I was trying to reply to a post but Mybb decided not to show it for some reason :)

The rain this week has been pathetic :(
Oh well, at least our dams are full again

I went for this one. Been working great! Clothing dries and the towels don't stay wet anymore. Also the windows don't fog up:

The big bucket for water collection is a plus as it seems to pull a lot of water out of the air.

I was wondering why my clothes seem to be taking longer to dry inside even with a fire going. Even had days with condensation on the kitchen window which we've never had before in the 12 years living here.

Decided to try the dry function on the aircon and it's helped a lot. No more misting windows and dry clothes.

Surprisingly the dehumidifying function on the aircon does not use much electricity.

Think I'm going to pull the trigger on this one. Great reviews online.

I was looking at that one also, but got my arm twisted by the SO for the cheaper one with the smart home integration.

Meaco ones seems to be very good though!

The indoor humidity in Vredekloof is way more than last year. According to the accuweather app the indoor humidity today is at 61%. Yesterday it was 85% indoors. Above 65% seems to result in condensation on windows.

Yeah they are good, I am running 2 of them 24/7 at the moment. The efficiency is quite a bit lower than 25L per day when it's cold (more like 5L), so it helps to get the biggest one.

Tad chilly outside
What's up gents?

May be an image of map and text that says Rainfall chart for today Rainfall Probability (%) Date issued: 29/06/2023 30% isolated 60%-scattered 80% -widespread African Weather 10h00 SAST MUS LEP THO GIY PLK TZA THZ PHB BEL GM MM BUR RUS GBD BEL KUR EMA PTA JHB VER SKZ KOM MB PCH VB NIL BHF SBK PF SEC ERM HON KRO KM BM 30% vwV 30% VR CV ULN DA WEP GC MAL SLD PM IXO DN Atlantic Ocean WR GR PED UT WIL Indian Ocean

Thanks. Ordered from Takealot this morning.

Why do you have two - live in a submarine?

Pretty much, it's super damp where I stay (close to Simonsberg).

I find one needs one per floor to work well.

Nothing of note.. all action is passing by the western cape, just barely grazing it.. not expecting any eventful rain over the next 5 days..

Was quiet earlier this morning, but windy and rainy in Kenilworth since 11am. A compact front developed in the wake of the cutoff-low. Conditions will clear gradually from tomorrow (Fri 30th), and the next several days will be dry and mild.

Edit: 14mm in our gauge in Kenilworth (1pm), definitely wetter than I expected.
