yeah the snow forcast has moderated quite a bit.
not much snow in Ceres.

there is more falling near De Toits peak and tunnel mountains.
Also a new cold front to watch on 15/16th - long forcast showing snow again, but likely warm up.

Temperatures will be optimum early on Sun 9th. Unfortunately by then most of the precipitation will have moved east, so there will only be traces of low-level snow close to CT. This is quite a large and slow moving system, not ideal for snow, though the effects will be felt countrywide.

This morning's cold and showery conditions are the lowest surface temperatures I can recall for a cold front in the last year or two, but just not cold enough for snow on Table Mountain. Widespread light snow is already likely over the higher mountains of the SW-Cape, spreading eastwards during the day.

Light rain will linger over CT for most of Sunday, but the cold will stay a few days longer. Overnight temperatures will be very low, as clouds lift and clear skies enable radiative cooling.

Edit: Long range forecasts show berg-winds producing warm daytime temperatures on Thurs 13th, as the usual winter cycle starts to repeat.

AFAIK all the usual mountain ranges in SA have snow. It depends entirely on the freezing level (see above). The heights of the mountains are well mapped, which allows sites like Snow-Forecast.com to produce accurate coverage charts, based on simple weather models.
