Cable car not closed for maintenance? Better check that if I were you. Think you will probably not get wet on Saturday. But it is not going to be a warm hike.

Not true. The cableway hss been a private company since 1929. Shutdowns are scheduled for maintenance inspections.

As the Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company, we operate in a National Park and World Heritage Site.

The cold front this weekend (Sat 15th into Sun 16th) will bring cloudy and cool conditions, but very little rain.

The next significant cold front will be around Tues 18th and Wed 19th, with some rain and a sharp drop in temperature.

Berg wind conditions in Brackenfell (Thursday). It was unexpectedly warm most of the day until about 17:00.

Bad weather from end of next week for quite some time again .... I left Cape Town end of April and returned two weeks ago. Basically perfect weather from the exact day I came back and missed all the bad stuff. Happens all the time!

It has been quite a bit wetter than predicted for a 'weak' cold front, due to high moisture levels and effects from the mountain. 25mm overnight in our gauge in Kenilworth.
