Especially for you old folk..There might be rain this weekend.
Hope not, Im hiking up India Venster again and it can be dangerous when the rocks are wet
Wow. I set mine on 21 and it's quite comfortable. Much more than that and I get too hot inside.Still colder than a nun's fanny. Got the aircon on 30, nice and toasty.

Aircons use far less energy than resistive heaters. No wonder we're back on stage 6!![]()
How so? My IR heater uses 800W.Aircons use far less energy than resistive heaters.
The cold weather over the past few days has not helped at all.
I had a kill-a-watt measuring the aircon in my kids room. To give you an idea, it was on for about 10h overnight, and used 1.3 kWh. The power goes up and down but that averages to about 130W. Kept the room at a nice 21C.How so? My IR heater uses 800W.Aircons use more energy when heating than when cooling afaik but are very efficient for the energy they do use.
Ah, inverter type? Door closed? Must have good insulation.I had a kill-a-watt measuring the aircon in my kids room. To give you an idea, it was on for about 10h overnight, and used 1.3 kWh. The power goes up and down but that averages to about 130W. Kept the room at a nice 21C.
Came to ask the sameAh, inverter type? Door closed? Must have good insulation.
Yes, room door closed. Insulation could be better but it's passable. It's not a tiny room but not super large either, about 12 m^2.Ah, inverter type? Door closed? Must have good insulation.

I've noticed that the power consumption depends on the outside conditions as well, sometimes it's nearly 2 kWh over the same time period.
