Rain and storm for Cpt

Come to think of it, last good rains we had was Sunday the 3rd of December - when there were also 100s of folks on bikes. Guess they need to organize more cycle tours so we can have more rain :)

Yesterday looked like rain in Helderberg, but today it is all sunshine and wind. Maybe the rain will move in tonight…

Trust me guys - it will rain tomorrow. When 6am comes and 100s of bikes hit the road in Durbanville it will be wet - never fails.

The ground will be wet on Saturday morning, but there is not likely to be any significant rain during daylight (excpeth maybe on top of the mountains).

More like Friday evening, from about 7PM, quite a lot from 9PM onwards: https://www.yr.no/place/South_Africa/Western_Cape/Cape_Town/hour_by_hour.html

Finally a forecast that seems consistent with many others that I am looking at...

P.S. The yr.no overview is also helpful, 10mm up to midnight on Friday, 2mm on Saturday: https://www.yr.no/place/South_Africa/Western_Cape/Cape_Town/

Edit: eNCA forecast agrees:

Models are indicating between 5 and 10mm of rain in the city with up to 20mm in the mountainous regions.

It drizzled for about 1 minute in Blue Downs, how I know, me and The Offspring were celebrating in it.

Thought them that Dark clouds are good because they bring rain water, white puffy ones look like marshmallows and aren't good for you. Hahaha.

Clouds were moving towards the catchment areas, Steenbras and Theewaterskloof.

Good steady rain happening in Century City! I went and parked my car outside for a rinse off :)
