I bloody guy in a Land Cruiser stopped in the smoke. Then a bakkie towing a horse trailer crashed into the back of him (no horse onboard). The trailer broke loose and probably burnt up in the fire. Way too dangerous to go
through.

Here where I live the wind is going to put fellers out of business. I have already seen some UFOs of the nature variety.

It is also frustrating that my yard has become the designated leaf basket for the entire neighborhood.

Just a breeze .. lol .. was playing league tennis earlier.

When I still lived in Gordon's Bay against the mountain I have seen all kinds of things blown around by the breeze through the sky. Everything from garden gnomes to large vases, roofs... yeah, roofs, and seemingly a lot of those splash pools.

The SAEON Dwarsberg (Jonkershoek) mountain weather station recorded a peak wind gust of 26m/s (94km/h) during the evening of Sat 6th.

The wind in Kenilworth has not felt particularly strong IMO. I attribute this to the sheltering effects of the mountain, given the mostly Easterly direction prevailing at present.

Little breezy this evening in the Western Cape
